I am disgusted with the mainstream media reaction to the mainstream media with Stanslias Wawrinka incredible upset victory over Rafael Nadal. Nadal underestimated Stan he thought Stan would get scared or afraid to be in his first grand slam final. The script was Nadal would roll over Stan in three easy sets. However, this didn’t happen. Stan had a lot of belief despite having 0-12 record against Nadal. Remember, Stan had NEVER beaten Rafa before he NEVER even won set against Nadal until today.

Nadal decided to play dirty due to the fact he has a history of cheating. Nadal has cheated many players like Paul Henri Mathieu at the French Open, Juan Martin Del Potro at Wimbledon in 2011 and today against Stan. Whenever, Nadal is losing in a slam he always has a mysterious injury. Will the media call Nadal out for his cheating? Of course not!!1

The eighth seed Stan Wawrinka upset Nadal 6-3 6-2 3-6 6-3 to win his first grand slam singles title. Stan is now a grand slam singles champion he snaps the strangle hold of the big four in men’s tennis to win a slam. To put it into context Stan is the first man since Juan Martin Del Potro in 2009 to win a slam outside the big four. 2009 was over four years ago!

Also, Stan beat Novak Djokovic the four time Australian Open champion in the quarterfinals! So Stan deserves credit for his victory! Nadal has a history of cheating his opponents BUT you will not hear it in the press. The ESPN commentators are professional cheerleaders their job is to praise the top players the big four. For a long time tennis fans have complained men tennis is BORING. The top four players have dominated men tennis BUT they have also made it predictable. Finally tonight, one of the lower ranked players in the top 10 stood up, was mentally tough and won a grand slam.

Stan Wawrinka is no longer in his famous countryman Roger Federer shadow he has passed Federer. The reason Stan is tough opponent for Nadal than Federer is Stan has a better backhand. Stan has the ability to rip winners off his backhand side unlike Roger. Stan also has a more powerful serve than Roger.

Novak Djokovic Snaps Rafael Nadal Eight Year Winning Streak Wins Monte Carlo Masters Title!!!

It is still over a month away from the French Open starting but Novak Djokovic’s stunning upset of Rafael Nadal 6-2 7-6 in the Monte Carlo final is a breakthrough. This is the first time in over eight years Nadal has not won the Monte Carlo Masters title.

Nadal is the only man on the ATP Tour to win a title eight times in a row he’s dominated Monte Carlo since 2005.

Djokovic played fearless tennis, he attacked Nadal’s backhand approached the net when necessary and he kept Nadal off balance.

Novak also took the ball early on the rise forcing Nadal to react by taking the ball early. Nadal’s strategy against Novak wasn’t smart he kept on hitting the ball to his two handed backhand but that’s Djokovic’s strength.

Against Roger Federer, Nadal’s high looping top spin forehand bounces too high for Federer to generate pace off the backhand side. However, since Djokvovic is six foot two and he has a two handed backhand, Nadal’s topspin forehand doesn’t bother him.

Nadal is still the king of clay though, he’s won the French Open seven out of the last eight years.

Novak Djokovic is off to a good start in the clay court season but the real test is at the French Open at the end of May.

Nadal’s dominance on the clay courts is incredible so although the Monte Carlo masters is not a grand slam anytime a player beats Nadal on clay that’s a cause for celebration.

However, this is Nadal’s second clay court defeat in 2013, he also lost the final of a minor event in February in Chile to a journeyman.

Rafael Nadal, Juan Monaco

(Facebook)

You never know how much your co-workers care about you until you’re gone. Rafael Nadal hasn’t seen much of his ATP brethren since taking time off the ATP Tour to rehabilitate his ailing knees, but he finally got a visitor this week, in the form of his good buddy Juan Monaco. The No. 10 ranked Argentine lost in the second round of Shanghai and quickly boarded a plane to Mallorca, Spain to pay a visit to Nadal.

What have the two been doing? Well according to theirFacebook and Twitter pages, it looks like Monaco has been tagging along on Rafa’s workouts, swimming, stretching and throwing in the occasional round of golf. Sounds like a pretty great vacation to me.

In fact, the rest may be what Monaco needs as he tries to make a late season push to qualify, either directly or as an alternate, for the ATP World Tour Finals in London. Monaco is 955 points out of the No. 8 spot in the Race rankings, butNadal’s participation in London is unlikely. That means the No. 9 player in the Race to London should qualify directly, and the Nos. 10 and 11 spots open for alternates.

Monaco currently sits at No. 12 in the Race and less than 500 points behind Janko Tipsarevic, the man currently holding the No. 9 spot. Deep runs at both next week’s Valencia Open and the Paris Masters, and Rafa’s best buddy should be able to buy his Eurostar ticket to London.

Disappointing Result: Roger Federer Upsets World Number One Novak Djokovic In Four Sets Advances To Wimbledon Men’s Final.

I think the only reason Roger Federer won this match is because Novak Djokovic was off his game today. I also believe since the the roof was closed on the centre court at Wimbledon this helped Federer serve.

I am stunned at this shocking upset! Federer defeated Novak Djokovic 6-3 3-6 6-4 6-3. I can’t believe Roger beat Novak so easily.

Last month in Paris, Novak destroyed Federer to advance to the French Open final. Maybe, Novak was sick and not feeling well and that’s why he lost? I am shocked that Novak lost I was certain since Rafael Nadal was bounced in the second round that the path was clear for Novak to defend his Wimbledon title.

Maybe, Novak is depressed about the death of his grandfather Vladimir?

Since Novak’s grandfather died in April, the spark is gone from his game he’s losing a lot of important matches. He lacks the intensity and desire he seems deflated and exhausted. Novak lost to Nadal in the finals of Monte Carlo, Rome, and the French Open. Now, Novak loses to Roger Federer a man he has dominated for the past two years!  I am speechless here I can’t believe this!

Wimbledon Men’s Second Round: Lukas Rosol of Czech Republic Shocks Rafael Nadal In Thrilling Five Set Upset!!!

Spanish tennis stud Rafael Nadal has lost in the second round of Wimbledon! This is one of the biggest upsets in tennis history! Wow I wasn’t expecting Rafael Nadal to be bounced in the second round of Wimbledon! However, Lucas Rosol of the Czech Republic upset Nadal 6-7 6-4 6-2 3-6 6-4!

Rosol was fearless he served huge, attacked the net, and robbed Nadal of time to set up for his groundstrokes. Rosol just overpowered Nadal there was nothing he could do everything Rosol was doing worked.

This is a shocking result because Nadal is an eleven time grand slam champion and he’s ranked number two in the world. Rosol is currently ranked number one hundred in the world.

Now that Nadal is out the bottom half of the men’s draw is wide open for Andy Murray and Andy Roddick to potentially reach the Wimbledon final.

This is a golden opportunity I feel for Murray to finally win a grand slam singles title. Nadal has an incredible record against Murray but now that Nadal’s gone this is a chance of a life time for him to finally win Wimbledon.

Does Rafael Nadal Fake Injuries & Make Excuses When He Loses Tennis Matches?

David Ferrer of Spain blasted Rafael Nadal off the court 6-4 6-2 6-3 to advance to his first Australian Open semifinal.  Ferrer denied Nadal from winning all four grand slams in a row! Ferrer is only five foot nine but he is very aggressive, has an excellent return of serve, and is very mentally tough. Ferrer has beaten Nadal in a grand slam before at the 2007 US Open. The media will create excuses for Nadal losing to Ferrer but they are simply tarnishing Nadal’s legacy. It is very ungracious for Nadal  and the media to exaggerate his injury just because he is losing.

Every tennis player loses matches including the great champions like Rafael Nadal. The truth is, David Ferrer just overpowered Nadal tonight. Nadal wasn’t injured he was faking it to save his face.

Nadal has a history of constantly making excuses when he loses matches. The result is still the same though a loss is still a loss.

Rafael is a great tennis champion I am not disputing this fact. However, Nadal’s propensity to create and exaggerate his injures is very disconcerting and reeks of unprofessionalism. If Nadal is so injured then why did he bother playing the match at all? Once Nadal sets on the tennis court, he must give his opponent credit.

The media must give David Ferrer credit. Ferrer is extremely talented but he doesn’t get respect even though he’s been ranked in the top 10 or 20 for most of his career. Ferrer simply outplayed Nadal and this is the truth. Ferrer mixed his game up and kept Nadal off-balance. Ferrer deserves credit for maintaining his aggression and not allowing Nadal back into the match.
