Victoria Azarenka Destroys Maria Sharapova In The Bank Of West Classic Final!

Victoria Azarenka of Belarus won her fourth WTA Tour title today destroying Maria Sharapova of Russia 6-4 6-1 in the Bank Of The West Classic final.  Azarenka turned twenty one yesterday, and she  continues to improve her game. I am very impressed with Azarenka, she has improved her fitness and movement.

Meanwhile, Maria Sharapova has to be disappointed, she lost her second WTA final this year.  Sharapova also lost the Birmingham final to Li Na of China in June 2010.

Sharapova is slowly rebuilding her game, but  she still needs more variety. Maria’s serve is still a bit unstable as well.  I wish Maria played more doubles she needs to work on her volleys and her movement. Azarenka exploited Maria’s mobility around the court she just is not as fast like the Willliams Sisteres or Kim Clijsters.
