Roger Federer Survives First Round Match At Wimbledon!

Roger Federer struggled in his first round match today at Wimbledon. Federer barely defeated Alejandro Falla of Columbia 5-7 4-6 6-4 7-6 6-0 in five sets. Falla served for the match at 5-4 in the fourth set but he choked.

In the women’s draw, second seed Venus Williams defeated Rossana del los Rios 6-3 6-2. The Belgian duo Justine Henin and Kim Clijsters both advanced in straight sets to the second round.

However, Vera Dushevina of Russia upset French Open champion Francesca Schiavone 6-7 7-5 6-1.
