Getting Into Shape Is Hard Work.
At the beginning of May 2010, I was a bad mood because my jeans got tighter! I was furious at myself!
I wondered, “when the hell did my jeans get so tight?” I started to feel terrible about myself.
I can’t eat potato chips anymore because I swear for me potato chips is like a drug. Once I eat a potato chip I just can’t stop!
I also must confess, whenever I am depresed or I feel down I binge eat.
I know, binge eating is terrible because I usually binge eat at night.
I started to record in my journal why I binge eat. I think I binge eat because I want to feel “better” but binge eating doesn’t make me feel better only worse. I feel guilty and I become depressed after binge eating.
My sister is a fitness fanatic and she is incredible physical shape. In fact, my sister said “Orville you have a membership at Good Life fitness you might as well use it.” Of course, my sister is right.
Since May 3rd 2010, I workout consistently Good Life fitness at least four times a week. I feel better and I notice I do not get tired in the afternoon. I contacted a dietician after I saw an ad on the Toronto Transit Commission for a website called “eat right Ontario”.
I called the phone number 1-877-510-510-2. The service is free for residents that live in the province of Ontario. It is so simple I just left a message and a few days later a dietician called back.
I talked to the dietician because I wanted to make sure I am eating healthy. I am learning that the key to successful weight loss is not just the exercising it is also eating properly. For instance, the dietician she told me if I am eating a salad to eat it plain do not add anything to it such as salad dressing. Salad dressing is dangerous because there are hidden calories in salad dressing.
I am eating rice cakes and more fruits and vegetables and more fibre.
I will never drink a smoothie ever again! I remember I went to the local mall and I asked a woman at Booster Juice how many calories a strawberry storm had. I was horrified! A strawberry storm has 415 calories!!
People think smoothies from Fresh Juice or Booster Juice are healthy but these smoothies are loaded with calories because they add sugar. I am drinking more water these days because I realize it is important to drink water. I am also cognizant of the fact water has zero calories.
I am keeping a food diary and I write down everything I eat. I also record every single time I workout and I write down the amount of time I exercise. I currently workout for at least an hour.
I realize it will take time I get into incredible shape. I am aware that four weeks is just not enough time to get into shape. I just got to keep on working out, and not give up. I also got to keep on watching what I am eating and do not eat after 8:00pm in the evening.
Amazing Francesca Schiavone Wins The French Open!!
Francesca Schiavone of Italy won the French Open today she defeated Samantha Stosur of Australia 6-4 7-6 in straight sets.
Schiavone’s victory is the first time an Italian woman wins a grand slam singles event.
This is a breakthrough for Italian women’s tennis.
Schiavone may never win another grand slam event, but she seized the moment. I feel that Schiavone held her nerves better than Stosur.
Schiavone played inspired tennis and I feel Samantha Stosur was extremely tight throughout the match. Stosur held a 4-1 edge against Schivaone in their head to head series. I think Stosur underestimated Schiavone because she has beaten her numerous times.
Stosur was the favourite to win the match. Stosur played incredible tennis to reach the French Open final she defeated champions Justine Henin and Serena Williams back to back. In the semifinals, Stosur defeated former world number one Jelena Jankovic.
I am a bit surprised at the unforced errors in Stosur’s game, but I do not feel Stosur choked.
I think the Australian media placed too much pressure on Samantha Stosur. I think Stosur played well, but Schiavone just played a bit better. Schiavone she mixed her shots well, she was not afraid to attack the net, and she served extremely well.
In the first set, Schiavone broke Stosur’s serve at 4-4 and served out the second set. In the second set, Stosur broke Schiavone’s serve at 2-1 to move ahead to 4-1. However, Stosur made some sloppy shots and Schiavone broke serve and held to 4-4. The women held serve until the second set tiebreaker and Schiavone won easily 7 points to 2.
