Samantha Stosur Blasts Jelena Jankovic She Advances To The French Open Final.

Rising Australian tennis star Samantha Stosur blasted Jelena Jankovic of Serbia 6-1 6-2 to advance to the French Open final. Jankovic was the clear favourite to win the match, she has more experience than Stosur. I am stunned that the experienced veteran Jelena Jankovic lost so easily to Samantha Stosur.

However, Samantha used her kick serve, big forehand, and backhand to destroy Jankovic in only fifty six minutes. After the match,  Jankovic said  during her press conference that the muscular Stosur “she has almost the game of a man.” “When I look at how the men play, she has a very good kick (serve), which not many women have. It’s very heavy spin.”

Italian veteran Francesca Schiavone joins Stosur in the final, she defeated Elena Dementieva of Russia 7-6 before she retired. Dementieva  and Jankovic are  talented players  but they are also  bridesmaids and never the bride in women’s tennis.

Dementieva  and Jankovic have so much experience in grand slam semifinals, I am stunned that they lost their matches today!

Dementieva lacks the mental toughness of the Williams Sisters, the Belgians, and Maria Sharapova. Whenever a big match gets tight in a grand slam semifinal or final Dementieva always crumbles under the pressure.

I am not suggesting Dementieva wasn’t injured but I know the Williams Sisters would never pull out of a grand slam semifinal or final if they were injured.

I fear time is running out for Elena, she is twenty-eight years old and this was a golden opportunity to win a grand slam. However, Dementieva had a calf injury and pulled out of the match.
