Two Time French Open Finalist Dinara Safina Upset In First Round Of The French Open!

Thirty nine year old Kimiko Date Krumm of Japan, upset Dinara Safina of Russia 3-6 6-4 7-5 in the first round of  the French Open. The result is a shocking upset, because Safina reached the French Open finals in 2008 and 2009.

Safina was the favourite in the match but she has such a negative attitude. Safina needs to improve her body language and stop  smashing her racket, cursing, screaming, and talking to her coach.

It is time Dinara Safina see a sports psychologist because her negativity clearly has consequences. Safina has to learn that if she continues with the negative body language this will only hinder her tennis career.

Safina is mentally fragile and this result will shatter her self confidence losing to a thirty nine year old woman.

Date Krumm is the oldest woman on the WTA Tour, she returned to the WTA last year after a twelve year absence. Date Krumm victory means, she is the second oldest woman to ever win a match at the French Open since Virginia Wade in 1985.

Although Date Krumm is 39 years old, she had an impressive career in the 1990s. For example, Date Krumm reached the semifinals of the Australian Open in 1994, French Open semifinals in 1995, and Wimbledon semifinals in 1996. Date Krumm also reached a career high of number four in the world in the year 1995.
