I Hate Rafael Nadal He Defeats Roger Federer In The Madrid Masters Men’s Final!

Last year, Robin Soderling  defeated Rafael Nadal in the fourth round of the French Open 6-2 6-7 6-4 7-6 .  Soderling’s shocking upset of Rafael Nadal was one of the  happiest moments of my life.

I knew when Nadal lost to Soderling  that the door was open for Roger Federer to win the French Open and Roger did win!

After losing to Soderling, Nadal slipped into a deep depression he lost all his self confidence. Nadal will never admit that the Soderling loss shattered his confidence but this is the truth.

Nadal was so unhappy that his French Open streak was shattered that he was bitter after the shocking defeat to Robin Soderling.

Nadal  was callous and very immature in his press conference after losing to Robin Soderling he refused to give Soderling the credit he deserved for beating him!

For an entire year, Rafael Nadal did not win an ATP Tour title until he won the Monte Carlo masters in April 2010. Nadal has now won three Masters singles titles back to back he passes Andre Agassi to own the most ATP Tour masters titles in the history of men’s tennis.

Nadal now has eighteen Masters shields to his credit.

Today at the Madrid Masters final, Rafael Nadal of Spain struggled but he still defeated Roger Federer of Switzerland 6-4 7-6.

I watched the match and I can honestly say, if Roger had taken the match to a third set he would win!

Nadal was scared, he got tight, he had a 4-2 lead in the second set and Roger fought back to reach 5-4. Next, the players both held serve until the second set tiebreaker. Roger lost this match he let Nadal off the hook.

Roger cracked under the pressure, he lead 4-2 in the second set tiebreaker and then made four ridiculous errors! Roger even missed the ball on the final point he swung his racket and missed the ball!

I noticed a few things that am I  concerned about. One, Rafael Nadal is very predictable, he always serves to Roger Federer’s backhand. Why doesn’t Roger take a chance and be more aggressive? Roger needs to hit inside out forehands whenever Nadal attacks his backhand. Roger beats Nadal when he has controlled aggression.

Second, Rafael Nadal is the only male player on the ATP Tour that Roger Federer fears. Roger will never admit this,  but he suffers from self confidence issues whenever he plays Nadal. The reason Nadal gets into Roger’s head is due to a plethora of reasons.

I think Rafael Nadal’s masculinity terrifies Roger Federer. Nadal is a real macho man, he huffs, puffs, he walks around the court like he owns it. Nadal grunts loud like he is in total control. Nadal walks tall on the court whenever he plays Roger he has so much self confidence whenever he plays Roger.

By contrast, Roger is a rare heterosexual male athlete, because  he is such a sensitive man. Roger cries when he wins, he cries when he loses, he is so emotional.

Roger Federer is such a beautiful man he’s gorgerous, he’s sensitive, he’s so intelligent, and he’s vulnerable. I love Roger Federer because unlike most male athletes he is not afraid to let his true feelings and emotions show on the court.

Sometimes, because Roger is so emotional his feelings  betray him on the court. Roger just lacks the fire right now, his game is in a state of flux.

Although Roger lost the Madrid Masters final, it is still the best tennis he has played since he won the Australian Open in Janurary 2010.

Unfortunately, the two men Rafael Nadal fears are injured and they will not be competing at the French Open at the end of this month. Juan Martin Del Potro of Argentina  and Nikolay Davydenko of Russia are sidelined they both have serious wrist injuries.

I think this is so bad for men’s tennis  because Del Potro and Davydenko play Nadal the right way they are both relentless.

Davydenko and Del Potro attack Nadal’s weak serve and his forehand they punish Nadal for hitting short balls and pound him into submission!

Del Porto and Davydenko are not afraid of Nadal they hammered him into submission last year three times each! I think Roger Federer should be watching Del Potro and Davydenko’s tapes to learn how to beat Nadal.

I think Roger Federer may need to get a bit more macho on the court. Even if Roger is pretending, whenever he plays Nadal he needs to reclaim his masculinity.

Roger should walk on the court and show Nadal that he is not afraid of him. I think in Roger’s head he knows he has the game to beat Nadal but in his heart he has doubts.
