Quebec Immigration Minister Tells Muslim Woman To Show Her Face!

Naïma Atef Amed she decided to take a French language class yet she is being discriminated against because she is a Muslim woman.

Ms. Amed she is an immigrant and she wants to learn the French language.

Ms. Amed she wears the Niqab, it is a traditional Muslim clothing that  covers the entire body except her eyes. Ms. Amed she refused to remove the Niqab and she  filed a complaint with the Quebec Human Rights Commission.

The Quebec Premier Jean Charest, he defended the racist immigration minister Yolande James comment that Ms. Amed must “show her face”. Ms. James perspective  is, if Ms. Amed  wants to have access to the government-funded French language program she must remove the Niqab.

The Quebec government is very racist because Ms. Amed does want to participate and learn about the French Canadian culture. Ms. Amed she has taken the time out of her schedule to learn French. Ms. Amed she is cognizant that in order to be a productive citizen in Quebec she must learn French. However, the Quebec governemnt is denying Ms. Amed her right to learn French due to racism and sexism.

Quebec wants to force immigrants to “assimilate” and deny people the right to express their own religious beliefs and values.

Ms. Amed has left the course but the racism and sexism she experienced is dangerous because it creates a separate but equal ideology.

However, my question is, why does Ms. Amed have to show her face? Ms. Amed isn’t hurting anyone? Why does the Quebec government care? The Canadian Charter of Right stipulates that Canada is against discrimination in relation to religion.

I am really disappointed this morning to hear about this case in Quebec. I am also disgusted that  Ms. James, a black  Canadian woman, she is so racist against another woman of colour. Ms. James is utilizing her political power to align herself with the mythical norm and patriarchy.

There are anxieties in Canada about the Muslim people and Ms. Amed she is treated as  “the other.” Canadians should be outraged at the racism and sexism Ms. Amed is experiencing just because of her religion. Shame on Quebec’s immigration Minister Yolande James and Premier Jean Charest! This discrimination is abhorrent and totally unacceptable! I hope Ms. Amed continues to pursue her case and fight for her human rights!

“Ms. Amed is an immigrant and she wants to learn the French language”. Well, that’s just great! She can also learn to integrate, which includes obeying our laws, if she so dearly wishes to live in this great country of ours. If she does not wish to conform then she can return to the country from whence she came.

People like Ms. Amed are bound and bent on imposing their religious beliefs and outdated customs on Canadians after they arrive in Canada, and also France and the U.S. to name a few. If we do not agree with their demands, they simply cry discrimination. Certain people in this country wear masks in the course of their duties; they include bank robbers!

See Toronto Star news article below:

This below is an article which was printed in the Toronto Star.

Will we still be the Country of choice and still be Canada if we continue to make the changes
forced on us by the people from other countries who came to live in Canada because it is the
    Country of Choice?

    Think about it!

All we have to ask is, “when will they do something about MY rights?”

We celebrate Christmas but, because it isn’t celebrated by everyone, we can
no longer say Merry Christmas. Now it has to be ‘Season’s Greetings’, or ‘Happy Holidays’,
or we’re going out to buy a “Holiday Tree”!

It’s not Christmas vacation, it’s Winter Break. Isn’t it amazing how this winter break ALWAYS
occurs over the Christmas holiday. We’ve gone so far the other way, bent over backwards to not offend anyone,
that I am now being offended. But it seems that no one has a problem with that.

This says it all! This is an editorial written by a Toronto newspaper. He did quite a job; didn’t he?
    Read on, please!

    IMMIGRANTS, NOT Canadians, MUST ADAPT!

I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture.

Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority
of Canadians. However…… the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the “politically correct! ” crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.

I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better
life by coming to Canada. Our population is almost entirely made up of descendants of immigrants.

However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some
    born here, need to understand.

This idea of Canada being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and
our national identity. As Canadians…….we have our own culture, our own society, our own language
and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials
and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.

We speak ENGLISH/FRENCH; not Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian,
or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!

We Stand On Guard For Thee” is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right wing,
political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women…….on Christian
principles………….founded this nation….. and this is clearly documented.

It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you
consider another part of the world as your new home………because God is part of our culture.

We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don’t care how you
did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle.

But once you are done complaining…..whining and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto,or our way of life,
I highly encourage you to take advantage of one other Great Canadian Freedom…….

    THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.

It is Time for Canada to Speak up!

    God Bless Canada, Amen.

Eddie, Ms. Amed she has made the effort to learn the French language. Why are you so afraid of the fact Ms. Amed wears the Niqab? The Quebec government is denying this innocent woman the right to learn French. How can Ms. Amed become a productive member of Quebec society if the government denies her the access to speak French? Also, I want to remind you Eddie the Canadian Charter of Rights & Freedoms prohibits discrimination in relation to religion. Ms. Amed she has a right to practice her religion her religious beliefs are not infrining on anyone’s rights. Ms. Amed she is a victim of racism.

People are not afraid of Muslims.

Muslims come from a country with NO RIGHTS, then they come to Canada, become citizens, pay tax and are members of OUR society.

Why must we conform our ways to meet their needs. We do already on so many levels.

We are fighting for womens rights in these horrible countries where woman ARE FORCED to cover their face. Canada isn’t like that – GOOD FOR QUEBEC – these woman are BRAINWASHED – take off your garment, and live free.

Maybe if you read the quran you wouldn’t sound like such a fool. The quran gives more rights to women than the bible. In fact, they were given the right to vote 1400 years ago when it was revealed. Compare that to Canada which only gave them that right within a century ago. If you want to know the truth about Islam ask a muslim.

I agree, immigrants need to follow OUR law. What I want to know is what law states we can’t wear something on our face? That is the issue.
