Canadian Ice Dance Duo Scott Moir & Tessa Virtue Win Gold Medal This Is A North American Breakthrough In Ice Dancing!!

Since 1976,  the Europeans  have dominated the ice dancing competition winning every single Olympic gold medal at the Winter Olympics. Last night, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir of Canada won the gold medal in the ice dancing competition shattering the Europeans stranglehold. The American team Meryl Davis and Charlie White won silver and the Russians Oksana Domnina and Maxim Shabalin won the bronze medal. Go Canada!!!

I love watching Ice Skating but I feel that the US Team should have won Gold. I honestly feel that if the Olympics were not held in Canada, then the Canadian team would not have won gold. They skated a beautiful program but the US Team skated better. Ice Dancing is a sport that is subjective. The judges have selected the winners before the competition. I will always feel that the US Team should have won GOLD.

I disagree, the Canadians earned their gold medal. Virtue and Moir’s technical abilities and their artistry was superior to all the other teams.
I thought the fourth place American team Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto were terrible their performance was boring and extremely dramatic. The Russians duo Oksana Domnina and Maxim Shabalin were lucky the judges were generous to give them the bronze medal their performance was sloppy and dry.
