Who Do You Support Conan O’ Brien, Jay Leno, or NBC?

The incendiary news this week, is the behind the scenes controversy between comedians Conan O’Brien, Jay Leno, and NBC.

Everyone knows, NBC wants Jay Leno to return to his old Tonight Show  time slot at 11:30pm.

However, Conan O’Brien is furious because NBC wants to move his

show to 12:35 am.

Leno is a multi millionaire, he should be a gentleman and  just quit. After all, Jay Leno took the gamble to host a variety show at 10:30pm and the ratings were dismal.  Leno’s demographic audience are older people, the baby boomer generation and  O’Brien’s audience are younger people the under 40 crowd.

According to media reports,  O’Brien’s lawyers did not negoitate a contact with a  fixed time slot for his show.

Since O’Brien’s show doesn’t have a fixed time slot in his contract,  NBC technically NBC can move O’Brien’s show anywhere they want. I believe NBC actions are very disrespectful to Conan O’Brien. The comedian Jerry Seinfield slammed O’Brien he basically said it doesn’t matter where NBC places O’Brien’s show it’s up to O’Brien to attract television viewers.

However, O’Brien is upset he believes NBC did not give his show sufficient time to build an audience. What do you think? Is NBC to blame for this fiasco or is Jay Leno to blame? Also, do you believe Conan O’Brien is right or should he been reticent about his true feelings about this controversy?

Conan O’Brien happens to be snagging a 33 million dollar settlement from NBC. That is obviously a heck of a huge amount of ones hard earned cash to hand anyone to just simply disappear completely. I will certainly acknowledge that I somewhat have a preference forJay Leno in that slot in lieu of the prime time slot, but I do think that Conan exhibited significant character in battling to acquire that substantial severence program for his crew. I’m convinced that he will be able to land on his feet someplace different in a matter of time. If he fails to, at any rate the 33 million will soften the landing.

Dave your comment makes sense the $33 million is a lot of money Conan is financially stable. I just read that on September 1st 2010 Conan can work for another TV network. I still think Conan should of had a time slot clause in his contract with NBC. I read an article recently, Jay Leno claims that it is all about ratings. However, Conan says he wasn’t given enough time to develop his show.
