The Racial Tension Between India & Australia Is Increasing Over Nitin Garg’s Tragic Death. New Delhi Newspaper Publishes Incendiary Cartoon.
The Indian media are furious that the Australian government is not taking Nitin Garg’s murder seriously.
Last week Saturday, twenty one year old Nitin Garg was brutally stabbed to death in Melbourne Australia.
The Indian government perspective is, the Australian authorities are not taking racism against South Asians seriously down under. The Indian government are furious that the Australian police and politicians refuse to say Garg’s death was racially motivated.
I believe Nitin Garg’s death is due to racism, it was a hate crime.
The ambivalent attitude of some Australians is just abhorrent and disgusting!
One Indian newspaper, New Delhi’s “Mail Today”, is comparing Australia to the white American supremacist group the Klu Klux Klan in an incendiary cartoon.
The controversial cartoon has upset the Australian government. It appears Garg’s death has caused more friction between the two countries.
However, some critics say the Indian government is hypocritical since India is racially stratified. For example, everyone knows India has a caste system and the untouchables are discriminated against in India.
In India, only the upper class can afford to send their children to study in western countries not the poor. I have to wonder is there a class issue in the Nitin Garg tragedy? After all, it would be very difficult for poor Indians to send their children to study in Australia since the tuition fees are extremely high.
Would the Indian media really care about Nitin Garg if he was an untouchable and not from a higher social class and caste in India?
I have a couple of questions. First, is the Indian media exploiting Nitin Garg’s tragic death? Second, is the Australian government’s apathetic attitude towards racism against South Asians the reason for the anger in India?

Nikolay Davydenko Shocks Roger Federer Defeats Him In Straight Sets In Qatar!!!!
I am very impressed with Nikolay Davydenko of Russia!
Davydenko won the ATP tour championship last year in London England defeating Federer, Nadal, and Del Potro.
Nikolay has always been ignored by the media because he isn’t viewed as a charismatic player.
However, Davydenko has been a fixture in the ATP Tour top 10 for the past five years.
Davydenko proves his win over Federer in November 2009 was no fluke. Davydenko smashed world number one Roger Federer 6-4 6-4 in straight sets!
Davydenko has always been a very consistent player but he lacked the mental toughness. Nikolay has beaten Roger two times in a row. Is this a bad sign for the Swiss master for 2010?
I got a B In Second Fall Term Course.
I just checked my marks on the university website I got a B in another fall term course. I am happy I passed the course and I got a decent mark. The readings were very academic and intense. I would be screaming at the top of my lungs if I got below a B. I think I did really well on the final exam this raised my final grade. I can live with a B. The teacher for this course she is a very hard marker so I am not going to complain.
