My Final Grade In A Fall Course Is B+ I Am A Bit Disappointed.
I checked the university website my final grade is B+ for one full year fall course. Of course, I know B+ is a very good mark. I am just a bit disappointed because I tried so hard I wanted an A. The fall course was very intense, two lectures a week for six hours and tons of readings. I wonder, why did I return to university to work on a second B.A. degree? B+ is a good mark but I am not happy right now. I am glad tomorrow is my day off from school.
Sorry if this is a double post…Was my original comment submitted?
I know how you feel, but we can only do our best. Our best is always good enough. Besides, getting an A doesn’t make you smarter. It just means that you remembered more information and wrote fast enough in the exams. I ask myself if it’ll matter in ten years that I’ll probably get a 2:1 instead of 1:1 degree. It won’t, so who cares? You can get a string of As, but now employers want work experience, extra-curricular activities and much more besides an A. If you’ve got/are getting those, you’ve got nothing to worry about.
Give yourself some time to come to terms with it. Is there any way to resit papers, submit more coursework, add more modules, etc to bump up your grade? Loads of people would love to get an education, so I’d be happy and take what I got. Some subjects are genuinely MUCH harder than others, meaning less people get the top grades.
Hi, thanks for your comment. I just thought of something there are some positive things. First, I passed the course that is important. Second, I got a solid mark B+ is pretty good. Thank you for helping me gain some perspective.
If you HONESTLY think you deserved an A, you should ever-so-carefully challenge the grade. Maybe your professor just might enjoy hearing your supporting argument. You be that judge. But if he gets defensive, go to plan B: turn it into seeking his expertise and wisdom for tips on improving future grades from a B+ to a solid A. In essence, don’t piss the professor off – simply stroke his ego.
Hi b, my professor is a woman and I don`t want to piss her off. I have to be honest when I think about it a B+ is a very good mark. I don`t want to piss my professor off. I looked at the guidelines for getting work remarked and there are specific rules that have to be followed. I am not rocking the boat on this one I am okay with a B+.
Plus remarked exams can go DOWN or up. That’s what stopped me from getting my exams remarked. I was disappointed with my Bs, but thought of getting any Cs put me completely off.
Hello, you are right I can understand someone wanting a C or C+ grade remarked because that’s totally justified. However, you are right B+ is pretty good. I was thinking about it last night. It’s a damn good mark B+ and I am not rocking the boat on this one. Sometimes a person has to let things slide. I tried my best I got a good mark. I passed the course and now it’s time to move on.
