Sad News The Legendary Carlton Cinema Is Closing On December 6th 2009

I have some sad news, according to media reports the Carlton Cinema in downtown Toronto is closing on December 6th 2009. Carlton Cinema was  an independent theatre in Toronto. The reason  the Carlton is closing because the theatre just wasn’t making any money. I am not that surprised the Carlton is closing because very obscure movies were screened there.

I am going to miss Carlton Cinema because I have seen so many movies there. In 2009 ,I saw “Rachel Getting Married”, “The Wrestler”, “Wendy & Lucy”, “Lymelife” all at the Carlton.

I have fond memories of this theatre because I went on a lot of dates at the Carlton.   I remember one ex boyfriend he always bought me   popcorn, nachos, hot dogs. He  whispered in my ear as we watched the movie. We talked a lot about anything and everything when we watched movies together. I think I miss that. Sometimes this  ex boyfriend he would wrap his arms  around me we sat in the back row of the theatre. It was nice and sweet. I am going to miss the Carlton.

The first movie I saw at the Carlton  was the Spanish movie  “Sex & Lucia”. Pedro and I sat in the back row he was all over me! Pedro was kissing my neck, arm, legs. We were making out like crazy in the theatre. I was nervous but Pedro didn’t care. I had a lot of fun at the Carlton LOL!

Nobody cared because everyone knows the Carlton is so close to the Toronto’s gay village a lot of homos were also doing the exact same thing!
