Jay Sean is the first British, male, R&B singer to reach number one in the United States. Craig David and Mark Morrison reached the top 10 in America a few years ago.
He already has had success on the UK charts with his first two albums.
Jay Sean’s real name is Kamaljeet Singh Jhooti. Kamaljit dropped out of medical school to pursue his singing career and his hard work has paid off!
Jay Sean’s single “down” is the new number one in America! Jay Sean is actually a seasoned artist, he is very popular in England, Europe, and India. Jay Sean is signed to Cash Money records. It’s nice to see gorgeous South Asian man on the top of the American music charts!

I think you deleted your other post about him, but I’m going to respond to that anyway. I don’t see how his fade and added muscles is being used to make him look black/Latino and appeal to Americans. He adopted that look a while ago (since 2006-07) and that British mullet haircut he had before was disgusting. He looks way hotter now.

I disagree Jettt, Jay Sean is super hot and he is very intelligent. I also think Jay Sean has an outgoing personality he seems humble, funny, and not too cocky. I watched some of Jay Sean`s interviews on You Tube and unlike some artists this guy actually thinks critically and has good self esteem. He is proud of his South Asian heritage and I think that`s wonderful.
NO DOUBT! I was not questioning his talent or his character. Just those photos looked a little touched up. He’s smart humble and proud of his heritage…hmmmm That makes even more attractive..And he’s probably straight…DAM!
I like Jay Sean because he is a proud Punjabi man some artists of colour they downplay their heritage but not this guy. Jay Sean is gorgeous! Too bad Jay Sean is straight though! Oh well, I still have my fantasies!
