Roger Federer Is The King Of Clay!!!

I am so happy for Roger Federer he finally won the French Open yesterday! Roger destroyed Robin Soderling of Sweden 6-1 7-6 6-4 in less then two hours. Roger was in total control of the match from the beginning to the end.

Some critics will say because Rafael Nadal lost early means Roger’s victory is tainted but I disagree. It is not Roger’s fault that Nadal was blasted off the court by Robin Soderling in the fourth round.

Roger has got to be so proud of himself, the media can be  so cruel by proclaiming that Roger is was washed up and finished. Roger let his racket do the talking on the tennis court and he was rewarded yesterday finally winning the French Open!!!

Now Roger has completed the career grand slam, he is only the sixth man in the history of the game to win all four majors.  Roger has also  tied Pete Sampras record winning his 14th grand slam singles titles. Roger is a superior player to Sampras because he has won the French Open.

Movie Review: Lymelife Is A Fantastic Movie!!!

Yesterday afternoon I saw the movie Lymelife at the Carlton Cinema in Toronto with a friend. I met my friend at the Bay subway station, we went to Coffee Time donut shop to decide which movie to see. We decided to see “Lymelife” the movie is a coming of age tale about a teenaged boy Scott Barlett.

Lymelife is set in the late 1970s on Long Island New York. The movie has an all star cast Emma Roberts,  Kieran and Rory Clukin, Cynthia Nixon, Alec Baldwin, and Jill Hennessy.

The protagonist of the movie is Rory Culkin’s character Scott Barlett  is struggling to deal with his parents separation. Scott has problems at school he is teased by other boys. Scott’s best friend is also his neighbour Adrianna Bragg.

Adrianna ‘s father is depressed he has Lyme disease and he is unhappy about his life. Adrianna’s mother Melissa is an employee of Scott’s father. Melissa is bored with her marriage and wants something more.

Meanwhile, Scott’s mother is also depressed she is unhappy with her marriage and Scott’s father is drifting away from the family. Scott’s older brother returns home from the military.

Adrianna is a year older then Scott, she is also more mature. Adrianna likes Scott and she kind of plays mind games with him. Adrianna introduces Scott to weed, sex, and also about life. The teens discover a shocking secret about their families that may break their families apart.

I didn’t like the ending of the movie I thought it was too “Hollywood” but Lymelife is a solid movie.

Dinara Safina Does Not Deserve To Be Number One In The World

 Svetlana Kuznetsova finally proved she is a champion ! Kuznetsova defeated Dinara Safina 6-4 6-2 in only seventy four minutes! Safina was unable to control her emotions and she capitulated under the pressure again. Kuznetsova now has two grand slam singles titles!

However, Dinara Safina is not number one she just can’t seem to win the important matches. Safina won two clay court events in Rome and Madrid she was supposed to win this match. Safina has lost three grand slam finals she is  0-3.

Safina also lost the Australian Open finals easily to Serena Williams this year. Safina  has proven she is just not  good enough to be number one.

I Love Toni Braxton’s 1996 Smash Album Secrets!!!

I was surfing on the internet tonight and I decided to watch some old Toni Braxton videos. I love Toni Braxton! I love Toni’s 1996 smash album “Secrets”. I love all the songs every single song is wonderful. I think I am going to HMV tomorrow and buy a new copy of “Secrets”. I wonder if Toni is ever going to make another comeback?  Last year Toni’s Las Vegas shows were a huge success I think she just needs to work with the right producers.

Update: I checked out some second hand music stores and I cannot believe they don’t have a copy of Secrets!!!! I visited the local HMV in my neighborhood and I am shocked HMV does not have a copy of Secrets!!! I guess I will be hunting next week across Toronto and purchase a copy of Secrets.
