Robin Roberts Is A Breath Of Fresh Air On Good Morning America

One topic that is frequently discussed in black circles is the paucity of positive representation of black women in the media. Yes Naomi Campbell is a trailblazer and yes girlfriend is an amazing model and beautiful woman. However, Naomi Campbell is also a stereotype she is the angry black bitch stereotype. Omarosa is also a stereotype of black womanhood as well she’s always acting crazy on some reality television show and I cringe. I know I’m not supposed to but I do.

Robin Roberts is just amazing because she’s not on the weekend ghetto. The weekend ghetto is a term that refers to the fact the vast majority of  news  anchors of colour are only on the air during the weekends. Robin Roberts has a seat in the front row on Good Morning America five days a week. Roberts is intelligent, humorous, witty, attractive, and she is an engaging host.

Last year Roberts was diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2007 she says she is feeling better now and requires more treatment. I remember Robin Roberts as a tennis analyst during the WTA championships back in the 1990s. Roberts was a breath of fresh air because she was very balanced in her views about the players unlike certain tennis experts.

I think Robin Roberts makes Good Morning America a more interesting and fresh show. I always enjoy waking up in the morning turning on the television and seeing Robin Roberts.
